Welcome to the TPS Revision Pathway

All Year 11 students are following the TPS Revision Pathway – a series of stages that we know prepare students well for their final exams and secure great results.

The Pathway consists of three stages: Know, Practise, Extend.

Know

The first stage of the Revision Pathway is for students to learn the key information needed for each subject. They should use the RAG sheet for all subjects to evaluate what they currently know well and what they need to spend more time learning. They should then create flashcards and mindmaps from the knowledge organisers, pink sheets, and other revision materials to develop their knowledge. Revision materials should be organised in students’ revision folders. Students should use a revision timetable each week to manage their time. This stage should be completed at least three weeks before the exams start. All the resources for this stage can be found below:

Practise

Students should complete three past papers for each exam they are going to sit. Past papers can be found below, and paper copies can be collected from the library. Papers can be practiced open book and open time to build confidence. Students should seek feedback for each past paper they complete from a teacher, a parent/guardian, or a friend. Extend

At TPS, we expect all students to go beyond the core knowledge of the curriculum and do extension research so that their answers stand out and secure the top grades. Students should work through the extension reading lists and research lists for all departments below. These materials are also available in the library.
